Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and oversight for all technology team resources supporting the business operations for UHC Nevada (Sierra), both direct and indirect, based in India.
• Primary leader over specific business solutions, for both custom development as well as selective commercial products.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other geographical locations to ensure smooth execution of critical projects and support to optimize geographically distributed teams.
• Exemplary system design, technical architecture awareness on building software with efficiency, stability, extensibility, and the ability to evolve over time.
• Lead engineering team for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and maintaining vital elements of ecosystem.
• Drives technology modernization activities with architects and engineering teams
• Lead a team of Software Engineers, for delivery of solutions, in both current legacy tools and foster transition to cloud native solutions.
• Drive talent transformation as per the needs of Business

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years leading teams with over 10 resources
• 5+ years of .Net, SQL Server experience
• 5+ years web development background
• Position requires 2:30PM – Midnight IST work time
• Experience working in the healthcare sector, specifically insurance.
• Proven deep technical expertise to review designs and architectures
• Experience in leading both US and India based resources
• Willing to work with clients located in the Pacific Time zone in the US, on an as needed basis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid customer-centric mindset with experience in design thinking and agile methodologies
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence architecture decisions
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory requirements for healthcare
• Skilled in root cause analysis, performance tuning, and optimization of complex systems
• Familiarity with transitioning legacy systems to cloud
• Familiarity with both Commercial and Medicaid insurance business.
