Primary Responsibilities:
- Planning the release of software deliverables and release-related activities
- Develop and implement release strategies and schedules
- Lead release coordination activities with project management, software development, quality assurance, operations, DevOps and other departments to ensure successful product delivery
- Manage release processes for enhancement from testing through and production delivery
- Lead and coordinate the go-live activities including the gathering and execution of the deployment plans and checklists
- Schedule and conduct Deployment Plan Review meetings to discuss the tasks, timings and responsibilities related to releases
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews for go-live
- Communicate release details and schedules to the stakeholders
- Provide continuous improvement feedback to the release process
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them so that the scope, schedule, and quality of the release are not affected
- Ensure deployments are properly staffed
- Team with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software
- Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notification lists, and dependencies
- Monitor and report on release performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Continually working towards making improvements in the release process
- Maintaining a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- ITIL Service Management framework, SDLC
- (CI/CD) tools
- Risk management
- PMP
- AGILE
- Configuration management
- Release Management
- Change Management
- Deep knowledge and experience in ITIL Lifecycle
- Proficiency in CI/CD workflows and release orchestration
- Background in risk assessment and impact analysis with flexibility to use various mitigation strategies
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and deployment methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Showcase of leadership skills with proven experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining release documentation to align with audit and compliance standards
- Capability to work with tools and technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab in a release management capacity
