Optum is seeking a visionary and technically adept Senior Director to lead our End User Technology Engineering function across the enterprise. This role will be instrumental in driving the transformation from a highly customized legacy platform to a modern, off-the-shelf Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) standard. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, proven change leadership, and high emotional intelligence to guide global teams through this strategic evolution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the global strategy and execution of end-user technology engineering across UHG
- Drive the transition from a customized legacy platform to a modern UEM solution, ensuring scalability, security, and user experience
- Partner with cross-functional teams across geographies to align engineering efforts with enterprise goals
- Champion change management initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and resilience
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on technical excellence and leadership development
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards for security, privacy, and operational performance
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure success, adoption, and continuous improvement
- AI-Driven End-User Technology Leadership
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functional teams in identifying, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that enhance end-user technology experiences. This includes fostering innovation, aligning AI capabilities with business needs, and driving adoption of intelligent tools that improve productivity, personalization, and support outcomes. Proven experience in change leadership and strategic execution is essential to bring AI to bear in scalable, secure, and user-centric ways

Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience leading enterprise-scale end-user technology engineering functions
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
- Deep technical knowledge of endpoint management, device lifecycle, software distribution, and user experience optimization
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale platform transitions and technology modernization efforts
- Exceptional emotional intelligence with the ability to lead through change, build trust, and influence across cultures and levels
- Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Expertise in platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar UEM solutions
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital workplace strategies
- Leadership experience in India or similar regional markets
