Reporting to the Director, the Vendor Risk Analyst supports the Second line of Defense risk management department in accordance with US regulations, bank policies and industry practices for Risk Management.

**This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be onsite 3-4 days a week in the Draper UT location. **

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of a robust Vendor Risk framework at the bank
  • Conduct thorough assessments of vendors and third-party relationships to identify potential risks and areas of improvement
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements and write up vendor’s financial risk assessment
  • Develop and implement vendor risk management strategies and processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective vendor risk management practices
  • Monitor and track vendor performance and compliance, identifying any gaps or issues and recommending corrective actions
  • Communicate clear and concise risk assessments and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Act as a subject matter expert on vendor risk management, providing guidance and support to internal teams
  • Collaborate with 1st line and different support functions to develop day-to-day risk management metrics, which quantify the division’s exposure to various types of Vendor Risk
  • Continuously evaluate and improve vendor risk management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Report on Vendor Risk across various dimensions (information security, financial, geographic, Model, etc.)
  • Coordinate Vendor Risk Assessments, working with subject matter experts, and vendor managers

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of direct work experience within Vendor Risk Management/ Third Party Assessment
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and experience in assessing and mitigating vendor/third party risks
  • A solid understanding of second-line frameworks related to Vendor Risk Management
  • Basic understanding financial statements preferably from the banking industry
  • Willing or ability to be on-site Draper, UT (Hybrid work)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience of assessing Vendor/ Third Party Risks during on-boarding.
  • 2+ years of eGRC Archer experience
  • Experience contributing to development of materials and reports for senior and executive level management (e.g., Board and Management Level Committee)
  • Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management (certifications)
  • Proven relationship management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, and building relationship networks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
