Job Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Alan Smrcka in the Department of Pharmacology to study signal transduction processes in the heart to develop new therapeutic strategies for treatment of heart failure. The position will require a combination of molecular manipulation of G protein-coupled receptor pathways in cardiac cells in vitro and in the whole heart in animal models. A Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Physiology, and knowledge and experience with molecular methods is required. Experience in cardiovascular biology either in vitro or in vivo, and cell imaging is highly desirable but not required. For more information contact Dr. Alan Smrcka ([email protected]).

Modes of Work

Background Screening
