Responsibilities*

Provide administrative support to managers/supervisors within perioperative services, including managing calendars, assisting with communication, and preparing for meetings. Further, candidate will be tasked to provide logistical support for programs and projects within perioperative services, including but not limited to training programs, celebrations, recruitment, and staff recognition. The candidate could be asked to assist with payroll, employee travel and some data entry.

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma required with more than 4 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be energetic/assertive and highly motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Candidate must be comfortable and proficient working in Microsoft Windows, Outlook and the basics of a word processor and spreadsheet application (Google or Microsoft preferred).

Desired Qualifications*

Two-year college degree preferred. Two to three years payroll/personnel experience preferred. Prefer 1-3 years of experience in the hospital clinical setting. Ideal candidate will have an excellent attendance record and a reasonable knowledge of the University of Michigan Health System policies. Prefer candidate to have some experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Work Schedule

40 Hours, Monday through Friday with a combination of working remote and on site.

Background Screening
