Come join our team at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design!

The Senior Director of Leadership Gifts works in a leadership role in the Stamps School's national fundraising and alumni engagement effort. You will work collaboratively as part of the Stamps School's Advancement team to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects, with a focus on high capacity donors. You will also support the creation and implementation of the School's long-term and short-term fundraising goals. You will report to the Assistant Dean of Development, with additional guidance provided by the Dean.

Responsibilities*

  • Grow Donor Portfolio - Create and steward major gift prospects and donors ($100,000+ capacity), developing individualized strategies to achieve annual fundraising goals and maintain accurate records in DART.
  • Prospect Pipeline Development - Identify, research, and qualify new major giving prospects through data analysis and strategic planning to guarantee a sustainable pipeline of leadership donors.
  • Donor Engagement and Events - Create engagement strategies, including managing regional cultivation events and preparing materials and briefings for School leadership participation.
  • Stewardship and Communications - Oversee personalized stewardship plans, draft donor correspondence and event remarks, and ensure meaningful recognition and relationship-building with leadership-level donors.
  • Strategic and Institutional Collaboration - Partner with School leadership, faculty, and University Development colleagues on campaign planning, corporate and foundation programs, and coordinated communications to improve fundraising priorities.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of fundraising experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in closing 6-7 figure gifts.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and comfort working with diverse constituencies, ranging from students to high net worth individuals.
  • Interest in contemporary art and creative practices.
