Job Summary
Nursing Information Services (NIS) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst ? Intermediate to support technology solutions that enhance Nursing operations, workforce development, and digital communication. This position will serve as the primary functional analyst for Cornerstone Performance Management within Nursing and provide SharePoint administration and content support for Nursing webpages.

Responsibilities*
Cornerstone Performance Management (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the Nursing resource for Cornerstone Performance Management, including goal-setting cycles, performance reviews, competencies, and reporting.
- Evaluate and support user needs, system capabilities, and workflows to optimize the use of Cornerstone modules.
- Configure forms, workflows, dashboards, and notifications; conduct testing and documentation.
- Develop training resources and provide support for Nursing staff and leadership.
- Build, maintain, and validate performance, compliance, and completion reports.
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with HR/IT partners for resolution.
SharePoint & Nursing Web Content Management (Primary Focus)
- Support Nursing SharePoint site structure, governance, and content quality.
- Partner with departments to redesign and maintain Nursing intranet pages for accuracy, usability, and accessibility.
- Provide guidance on permissions, document libraries, lists, and workflows.
- Ensure alignment with organizational standards for digital content and communication.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in business systems analysis, information systems, or related technical/functional roles.
- Experience supporting HR, performance management, learning systems, or LMS platforms, preferably including Cornerstone.
- Extensive experience with SharePoint administration or site/page management.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, analysis, troubleshooting, and system documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience in a healthcare, nursing, or clinical education environment.
- Advanced Cornerstone configuration or administrator-level experience.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of workflow design, process improvement, and change management principles.
Work Schedule
Hybrid and OnSite work options may be available based on departmental needs. Occasional off-hours support may be required during system updates or critical events

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
