Job Summary
The Greenskeeper I maintains exceptional golf course features and contributes to continuous improvement in order to achieve our mission: providing exceptional golf experiences at Radrick Farms Golf Course.
Responsibilities*
Perform duties in keeping with the maintenance and customer service standards of the golf course.
Perform daily golf course set-up duties, including changing pin locations and tee markers, mowing, raking, manual watering, and general cleanup.
Conduct repairs and adjustments of equipment including disassembly, cleaning, and sharpening of reel and rotary mower blades, replacing fluids, filters, bearings, seals, worn parts, and grinding reel and bed knives.
Repair, install, and operate irrigation systems including the use of automated computer programs (test/simulation) and movable irrigation systems.
Remove or trim trees, shrubs, and brush using chainsaws, wood chippers, and stump grinders.
Mix and apply pesticides, as well as selective and non-selective herbicides and fertilizers.
Assist in building or restoration of golf course structures such as greens, tees, fairways, drainage systems, and bunkers using loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, trenchers, leveling equipment, and other equipment used in the golf course maintenance industry.
Assist Mechanic with the repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, heavy equipment and major mechanical repairs (powertrain, drivetrain, transmissions, etc.) as well as equipment maintenance tracking.
Other Basic Duties:
Clean assigned areas of work and equipment.
Conduct basic facility maintenance.
Remove snow and ice using shovels, plows, and salt spreaders.
Install and maintain new tree and shrub plantings.
Assist Superintendent with project management, budgeting, ordering supplies, invoice processing, etc.
Required Qualifications*
Minimum of three years golf course maintenance experience.
Basic knowledge of irrigation operation and repairs.
Experience performing daily golf course set-up duties, including changing pin locations and tee markers, mowing, raking, manual watering, weeding, trimming, and general cleanup (blowing, sweeping etc.).
Demonstrated mechanical ability to perform basic maintenance and repair of turf equipment.
Experience using hand and power tools used in the industry.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Demonstrated experience effectively working in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications*
Valid commercial pesticide applicators license (category 3A turfgrass pest management).
Advanced knowledge of required maintenance for golf course specific equipment.

Experience with Foley Accumaster reel grinder and Toro SitePro irrigation satellites, components, and software.
