Job Summary

This is not a typical Product Manager role. The scope of knowledge, ownership, and responsibility here goes well beyond what most Product Manager positions demand, and that's by design. We're looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, intellectually curious, and energized by solving complex problems in a fast-moving environment.

Our Product Managers work closely with researchers and engineers to define, organize, and drive products from concept to market. They think analytically, move decisively, and thrive as part of a close-knit, high-accountability team. Each Product Manager owns their product as a business, managing resources, delivery schedules, and marketing across the full product lifecycle, and becomes the definitive expert on their product and the research behind it.

Responsibilities*

The core responsibilities of AI&DHI Product Managers can be grouped into the following categories:

Product Definition and Design:

Define what a product does and the impact it can have on AI and digital health research. This includes developing Product Requirements Documents and Use Cases that capture product vision, target market, feature descriptions, and feature prioritization. Product Managers are also responsible for the end-to-end user experience (UX) of their products ensuring our tools are intuitive, effective, and designed with the researcher in mind.

Project Management:

Lead cross-functional teams spanning Data and AI Engineering, Network Administration, Pre-Clinical Labs, Clinical Research, Marketing, and Innovation Partnerships to deliver tools and platforms on time and on budget. Responsibilities include building project timelines, tracking progress, identifying critical paths, communicating status to leadership, and maintaining a project dashboard that gives leadership an at-a-glance view of all active research initiatives.

Product Marketing:

Clearly communicate product benefits, features, and target markets to internal teams and leadership. Conduct market research to inform business cases, product strategy, and requirements documentation, and identify opportunities to maximize the impact of our products.

Additional responsibilities include:

Owning projects from concept through delivery

Collaborate with the team to prototype applications and tools

Actively participate in team discussions and decisions we rely on each other and hold each other accountable

Report product updates, milestones, and opportunities to leadership

Determine and document requirements

Estimate and adjust stories and sprints

Required Qualifications*

The AI&DHI Product Manager Senior must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7 years of progressive Product/Project Management experience.

Product Manager Intermediate requirements:

The AI&DHI Product Manager Intermediate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of progressive Product/Project Management experience.

Desired Qualifications*

In addition to the above requirements, candidates must also possess the following qualifications:

  • Product design or product management experience
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience developing technical products and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering design requirements into a product vision
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations
  • Entrepreneurial experience and familiarity with business issues (or a willingness to learn)
