The Arts & Sciences Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) is seeking a Senior Student Services Coordinator. For more information about the services provided by our office, please visit http://college.as.virginia.edu/.
The position provides administrative support for the Advising Deans and staff of OUE who provide academic support to undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students and external customers via phone, email, and in person by answering questions or directing them on how to best get their questions answered
- Work with staff/faculty from across Arts & Sciences to provide information and answer questions about College policies and procedures
- Process academic forms submitted by Arts & Sciences students
- Provide assistance to the Advising Deans and staff housed within The College
- Provide general administrative support of various programs housed within The College
- Work collegially with the deans and staff within The College to improve student processes and procedures, make recommendations, and implement changes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma
- Four years of student related administrative support experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in higher education
- Working knowledge of UVA's SIS (Student Information System)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The anticipated hiring range is $21.15 - $22.12 hourly ($44,000–$46,000 annualized), commensurate with education and experience.

This position is based in Charlottesville, VA. After completing the required training, this position is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days on Grounds per week, with additional on-site presence as needed, in accordance with UVA’s remote work guidelines.
