Dr. Teague Henry at the University of Virginia invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate with expertise in intensive longitudinal data, machine learning, and digital intervention methodology. The position will begin Fall of 2026.
Dr. Henry’s lab focuses on developing new approaches for the analysis of intensive longitudinal data, as well as methods for optimally applying psychological interventions. The postdoctoral research associate will be responsible for overseeing and advancing primary research projects in these areas with a preference for candidates who can both work with empirical datasets as well as perform simulation studies. Primary responsibilities will include developing simulation studies, working through the analytics of new methods, and writing papers for publication under his supervision and collaborating with and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students,
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. in Psychology, Human Development, Political Science, Computer Science, Data Science or closely related discipline is required by the start date. Experience with an emphasis on psychometrics, intensive longitudinal data, machine learning applied to psychological time series and/or natural language processing applied to psychometrics are preferred. A record of high-quality research as demonstrated by publications in top-tier journals and external presentations is required. The candidate should also be proficient in R or Python, and SQL programming.
