These roles focus on managing and overseeing the operations of UVA's healthcare organization and systems. Ensuring that healthcare facilities and services operate efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with regulations. Work on the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of healthcare management to improve patient care, optimize resource use, and drive overall organizational success.

These roles focus on managing and optimizing the day-to-day functions and logistics of UVA's healthcare organization to ensure efficient, effective, and patient-centered care. These roles are integral to maintaining the operational integrity of healthcare facilities and systems, coordinating resources, ensuring smooth operations between departments within the health system.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Recognized internally as a master in a discipline within the University. Implements initiatives and projects established by School or Division leadership. Develops and implements new processes, standards, or plans to achieve strategies. Problems are frequently complex and sometimes multi-dimensional. Requires ability to influence and communicate with executives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer

Experience: 10+ years of work experience with 5-7 years direct experience working in an administrative/financial management capacity for a healthcare system. Familiarity with an academic medical environment – understanding the roles and responsibilities of the hospital, physician’s practice and School of Medicine. Experience with financial and operational issues is a must.

Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The starting base rate for this role is $111,330.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
