Internal Medicine Pharmacist
• Provide broad-spectrum care across general medicine units
• Manage therapies for heart failure, COPD, renal disease, and infections
• Diverse patient population and strong teaching/research opportunities

• Deliver direct patient care through medication management
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical decision-making
• Educate patients and providers on pharmacotherapy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Job Profile
