We are seeking an experienced Director of Radiology & Medical Imaging to join our leadership team. In this role, you will lead the operations of multiple diagnostic imaging modalities while partnering with physicians, faculty, and operational leaders to ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and service. This leader will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting clinical innovation, and developing high-performing teams within a complex academic health system dedicated to improving the health of the communities we serve.

The Director oversees the day-to-day operations of diagnostic imaging modalities (e.g., Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Diagnostic Radiology) within Radiology & Medical Imaging and provides leadership consultation and support in communication with referring providers and patient population service lines across the full spectrum of patients served. Responsibilities include effective resource utilization; program and policy development, implementation, and evaluation; and strong project leadership.

As a member of the Radiology & Medical Imaging leadership team, this individual demonstrates clinical expertise and contributes to continuous quality improvement, customer service excellence, resource and financial management, operational efficiency, and professional development. The Director partners closely with faculty and Medical Center leadership to ensure effective collaboration and the successful advancement of departmental and organizational priorities.

  • Develops and manages partnerships with clinicians, physicians, and administrative counterparts to achieve common goals. Promotes integration of multidisciplinary work groups.

  • In addition to the above responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.

Experience: 5 years of imaging management experience required, at least 3 years of which is in breast imaging/mammography. 8-10 years of progressive management experience across a variety of imaging modalities or across multiple locations in a complex health system is strongly preferred.

Licensure: ARRT Registered Technologist required; two or more ARRT certifications (e.g., Radiography, Mammography, Sonography, etc.) strongly preferred. Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.

The starting base rate for this role is $140,000.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
