Performs routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Technologist in area of specialty. May participate in training program specifically designed for completion of a degree program.

Job Description By Specialty:

C.T.

  • Under supervision of Registered CT Technologist selects appropriate imaging and injector protocols and ensures image quality parameters aligned prior to completion of scan by Registered CT Technologist.
  • Follows established Safety Standards to ensure safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  • Establishes ownership of clinical area by taking pride in appearance and readiness of exam rooms, equipment and supplies.
  • Performs various assigned duties to ensure the goals of the department are met.
  • Demonstrates commitment to other team members through general standards of professional conduct to facilitate the efficient and smooth operation of the department.
  • Performs various general support functions in department to ensure efficient utilization of time.
  • Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensure patient cooperation safety and satisfaction.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: C.T.
Education: High School graduate/GED; Enrolled in an accredited Radiography Program
Experience: None required
License/Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required within 3 months of graduation from an accredited JCR program in Radiography. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Virginia Driver’s License (VADL) may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The starting base rate for this role is $17.44 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
