UVA Human Resources is seeking a Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition team supporting clinical recruitment for UVA Health across the Medical Center. This role partners closely with nursing and clinical leaders to develop effective hiring strategies, build strong talent pipelines, and ensure a positive experience for candidates and hiring teams.
The Recruiter manages the full recruitment lifecycle and plays a key role in connecting healthcare professionals with meaningful careers that support UVA Health’s mission of exceptional patient care, education, and research.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment for assigned clinical roles from intake through offer stage
- Proactively source and engage diverse talent pipelines to support workforce needs
- Facilitate and support interview processes in partnership with hiring managers and departments
- Provide insights on talent market trends and candidate expectations to inform hiring decisions
- Guide hiring teams through established recruitment processes, policies, and best practices
- Review compensation ranges and internal equity considerations for assigned searches and partner with Compensation when additional review is needed
- Partner with hiring leaders to support timely and effective hiring outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma
- HR experience:
- Four years of professional HR experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience; OR
- Master’s degree with one year of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting healthcare or clinical roles
- Familiarity with healthcare environments or clinical workforce structures
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or recruitment CRM
- Experience developing and maintaining recruitment pipelines
- Experience using data or reporting tools to inform recruitment strategies
- Experience using Excel or similar tools to track recruitment activity and data.
- Registered Nurse (RN) background
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The anticipated hiring range is $64,000–$72,000, commensurate with education and experience.

This position is fully remote and may be performed outside of Charlottesville, VA, with occasional on-site attendance required for recruitment activities such as meetings, events, or career fairs, in accordance with UVA’s remote work guidelines.
