Performs a variety of administrative functions for one or more Medical Center professionals. Work often requires detailed knowledge of area and the application and interpretation of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements effective and professional office practices and procedures.

  • Handles purchasing, personnel transactions and special projects.

  • Performs area-specific support activities.

  • Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills.

  • Serves, manages and supports internal and external customers.

  • Participates in performance improvement activities.

  • Participates as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience

Licensure: Valid Virginia Driver’s License may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, climbing (ladder, steps), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, vibrations, heat, dust, noise, radiation and outdoor climate.

The starting base rate for this role is $17.65 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
