The Supply Chain Specialist provides operational and administrative support for supply chain initiatives across clinical and operational service lines. This role partners with internal stakeholders to assist with product evaluations, supply standardization efforts, inventory-related concerns, and value management initiatives to ensure continuity of care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of approved product evaluations for clinical and operational service lines.
- Support supply standardization and value analysis initiatives through documentation and tracking within computer-based systems and tools.
- Maintain and update supply initiative standard work, workflows, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and expedite product backorders to minimize operational disruptions and support patient care needs.
- Assist in resolving product-related issues, including substitutions, shortages, recalls, and vendor concerns.
- Provide administrative and operational support to value management and supply chain teams.
- Serve as a resource for supply chain logistics, institutional supply processes, and product-related inquiries throughout the Medical Center.
- Support compliance with institutional policies related to the reprocessing of single-use and reusable devices.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, vendors, and operational leaders to support effective product utilization and supply chain efficiency.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred
Experience: 3 years relevant experience
Licensure: None required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently traveling; Repetitive motion: (computer tasks). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to outdoor climate.
The starting base rate for this role is $15.99 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
