The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed, to perform a variety of activities to support the department’s clinical trials. The position is under the direct supervision of our department's CRC manager, with guidance from our clinical faculty (Principal Investigators).

This is a part-time position, averaging 20-24 hours per week.


Candidates should have availability during the weekdays within standard daytime business hours. This role is onsite.

Position duties include, but not limited to:

• Reviewing clinic schedule and medical record to pre-screening for potential research Participants.

• Maintain patient calendar and requesting study visit and exam appointments.

• Obtaining informed consent from interested and eligible patients.

• Preparing, collecting, and shipping subject assessments in a timely fashion such as surveys and laboratory specimens.

• Entering data into study case report forms and electronic data capture systems.

• Reviewing medical record for adverse events and notifying the study team.

• Filing electronic documents and scans into appropriate drive folders.

• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other administrative duties may be assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education and or certifications.

Experience: None. Some experience in a healthcare setting and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
