The Compliance Analyst position will serve as a generalist compliance analyst for the Financial Operations unit, spanning multiple disciplines. The position is primarily responsible for providing support for the University’s enterprise risk management (ERM) program and payment card compliance (PCI) program. Reporting to the Tax & Payment Card Compliance Manager, the ERM/PCI Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director of Financial Operations in the administration of the University’s Academic Division ERM program. The ERM/PCI Analyst is also responsible for supporting payment card compliance for the University Academic division, Medical Center and College at Wise, including overseeing online payment systems, credit card device implementations, and annual compliance reviews.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a generalist compliance analyst for the Financial Operations unit.
- Compile and organize data collected for the University’s ERM program.
- Analyze and maintain the University ERM risk register.
- Assist with and record the results of department-level risk analysis meetings.
- Coordinates meeting times and assists with ERM report generation.
- Follows established payment card procedures to ensure compliance with University policy, legal standards, and required industry standards.
- Instruct units in appropriate PCI procedures and security measures.
- Coordinating communications with the University’s third-party payment platform contractor, Arrow Payments.
- Assist units with payment platform security and implementation.
- Assist with annual PCI compliance tasks (Self-Assessment Questionnaires, Training, etc) Coordinates with contracted payment card support on various PCI issues.
Key Qualifications/Certifications
- Knowledge Requirement: Familiarity with a compliance environment. Willing ness to learn about payment card compliance and enterprise risk management.
- Communication Skills: Written and verbal communications are clear, responsive, timely, and with a high level of professionalism.
- Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to design and improve processes and workflows, including leveraging available technology. Ability to use web-based statutory and regulatory resources perform research.
- Required Experience: At least 4 years years of relevant experience in a compliance environment. Experience in enterprise risk management and/or payment card compliance a plus but not required.
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
The anticipated hiring range is $70,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and subject to internal equity, market review, job profile alignment, and applicable approvals.
This position will remain open until filled. This is an exempt level, benefited position. The University will perform background checks on all hires (if required) prior to employment. Education: Bachelor's degree. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
