The Cloud Storage Team provides application teams with hardened, easily adoptable, cost effective patterns as well as infrastructure automation, new capabilities and SI education across all of AWS' storage units including S3, EBS, EFS and FSx. The Cloud Storage team has an exciting 2024 agenda that requires an energetic Cloud Storage engineer who has a proven track record of delivery.
In this role, you will:

Design, implement, and deploy cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identify recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.

Provide advanced level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Troubleshoot software systems on multiple cloud computing platforms and system integration into existing cloud computing platforms. Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.

Develop technical standards. Test and evaluate IT vendor products. Review configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime.

Elevate code into the development, test, and cloud production environments on schedule. Provide follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.

Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Determine the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.

Train and mentor more junior staff on processes and releases. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues elevated from staff. Provide guidance and consultation as required. Update, write, and maintain documentation for the department.

Administer system activities. Write the technical portion of assigned deliverables. Perform systems analysis, including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design.
What it takes:
- Minimum of five years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Core Knowledge of Storage units specifially in S3, EBS, EFS, FSx
- Fundamental Knowledge of AWS, with specific knowledge of AWS Lambda using Python/Boto3, AWS CloudFormation, CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Familiarity with these AWS services: IAM, S3, KMS, SecretsManager (esp VGI implementation of SecretsManager)
- Good problem-solving skills and persistence in analyzing problems
- Self-motivation and a willingness to learn
- Experience with Bamboo deployment plans at a basic level
- Experience with BitBucket/Github at a basic level
- Knowledge of Route53, SNS, VPC is a plus
- Experience with Analytics platforms not required but a plus
- Ability to communicate with clients regarding technical issues
- Knowledge of development suite specifically Python
- Specific knowledge of JSON
- SDLC
- Specific experience of Boto3 is a plus
