W&D Affordable Equity (formerly Alliant Capital) is a leading tax credit firm focused on tax credit syndication for the development and financing of affordable multifamily rental housing. As a syndicator of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), W&D Affordable Equity raises corporate equity and monitors the development, construction, lease-up and permanent financing phases of its investments. With a dedicated team of experienced real estate, asset management, legal, and tax professionals, we provide the highest level of fully integrated real estate and investment support services.
The Senior Analyst, Finance (“Senior Analyst”) will build Upper-Tier models for closings or presentations and will work with investors and internal staff to answer questions and changes for both upper-tier and lower-tier modeling.
What you will be doing:
- Creating upper tier (investor) excel models based on one or many lower-tier (project level) excel models with additional fund level inputs.
- Providing numbers for legal documents for upper tier closing and amendments for upper and lower tiers.
- Preparing quarterly upper-tier benefit schedules and at investor request.
- Managing investors upper-tier IRR’s.
- Updating upper-tier models with tax returns and investor K-1 information.
- Preparing special allocations for investors for tax return and benefit schedules.
- Preparing upper-tier reserves request for asset managers.
- Calculating upper-tier fee and reserve true-ups based on LPA language.
- Reviewing and estimating upper-tier fees based on benchmarks within the LPA.
- Preparing and reviewing upper-tier models for disposition of lower-tier properties.
- Updating residual value analysis projection as needed.
- Adding schedules to upper and lower tier model to incorporate tax changes.
- Other duties or projects as assigned by the Company from time to time.
The education and experience we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in finance, real estate development, urban planning, affordable housing, or related field. Specific experience in Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit Syndication or Affordable Multi-Family Housing preferred.

This position has an estimated base salary of $76,000.00-95,000.00 plus annual discretionary performance bonus.
