Position Title: Senior Software Engineer, ASC

Job Description:

Enhance our suite of applications by designing, coding and testing financial software applications for complex asset types. Collect business requirements and identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, data analytics, and data visualization. Develop and implement new solutions to meet business outcomes using Java, ReactJS, AWS, Oracle and Python. On-board and analyze large data sets. Design and implement software solutions to meet business requirements. Demonstrate through documentation, presentations, and prototypes how proposed solutions meet business requirements. Ensure that designs adhere to recommended technology principles. Identify and robustly handle complex scenarios and technical complexities. Assess software infrastructure needs and diagnose necessary upgrades and recommend capacity. Work closely with other senior software engineers, analysts and quality assurance engineers and to build consensus through open dialogue and constructive feedback. Conduct code reviews. Write thorough automated unit tests. Research and understand new complex securities. Hold design discussions with vendors and relay technology needs thoroughly and succinctly. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related field plus two (2) years of relevant database experience, including analysis and modeling using SQL.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Data modeling and ETL implementation
  • Data analytics
  • Oracle and MySQL stored procedures and complex queries

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Software development experience supporting complex applications through the development lifecycle
  • Full stack software development for Financial Markets
  • Using fixed income financial instruments including pricing, valuation and risk measures
  • Working with complex asset types
  • Data visualization in Tableau
  • AWS Cloud computing
  • Web Services development and implementation
  • Scripting languages including Python
  • Batch scheduling and management

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $113,000-140,000/year.
