ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced professional to join the Client Group in London as Director, EMEA Institutional. The successful candidate will play a key role in partnering with the Head of the EMEA Institutional team to develop and implement the firm’s sales, relationship management and product strategy for the Institutional channel in the region.
Primary responsibilities of this role will include:
- Lead and manage a team of Business Developers, Relationship Managers and Associate Relationship Managers, who are responsible for servicing Institutional clients and prospects in EMEA;
- Identify and develop the future client skills required, and establish a comprehensive framework for the ongoing assessment and development of skills and capabilities, across the cohort;
- Oversee the full lifecycle (attraction, development and retention) of talent within the team;
- Act as senior escalation point for any client issues, and work with Relationship Managers to resolve them;
- Enhance processes as required, to create efficiencies and improve client experiences, ensuring that robust governance processes are in place;
- Act as thought partner (and proxy) for the Head of EMEA Institutional, to develop and implement the strategic vision for the team, maintain excellent client/prospect relationships, and drive net client growth;
- Utilize data and metrics to develop and implement strategies to increase the firm’s EMEA Institutional market share;
- Ensure that client facing colleagues within the EMEA Institutional team remain relentlessly external, and work closely with colleagues across the firm to ensure the team has the necessary infrastructure and support to be successful;
- Lead cross-border initiatives on sales strategy, product priorities etc., ensuring the firm is well placed to defend, maintain and grow its business, and to provide excellent client servicing;
KEY SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate is likely to:
- Have a strong academic background, ideally including a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA);
- Have 15+ years of relevant professional experience (e.g. business development and/or relationship management), including a proven track record of successfully building and managing client facing teams;
- Be an empathetic leader, skilled in building trust-based relationships with professionals at all levels;
- Be focused on driving top-line growth and client retention, through strong relationships and innovative service excellence;
- Be commercially minded, with strong subject matter expertise, and excellent knowledge of the market and sales process;
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement long-term investment and sales strategies that align with market trends and client needs;
- Have strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach, with the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.;
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills, in order to guide and motivate teams, and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment;
* Be proficient in Salesforce, Excel and Outlook.
