JOB OVERVIEW
Enhance the capabilities of Wellington’s Client Experience Platform and position the teams for continued scalability as an Software Engineer. This public facing application is a highly strategic asset driving the continued growth of the firm, providing reporting and communications to existing clients and enabling data-driven marketing programs. The Client Experience Platform leverages integrations into several endemic platforms as well as custom services and is currently supported by a successful and highly experienced team of with members in marketing, product, and technology. Successful execution of this role demands a solid technical foundation, coupled with active collaboration with other technical leaders and business stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Cross discipline advocate who can ensure on-time delivery of features balancing engineering and user experience disciplines
· Research technology issues and work with teams staff to understand and resolve challenges
· Work collaboratively with Product Owner and Product Management to define and negotiate scope
· Prototype with emerging technologies to prove product feature sets and enhance SDLC
· Drive the adoption of conventions and best practices for front-end development
· Improve user experience and provide elegant and performant interfaces to the customers
· Ensure instrumentation and coverage metrics are addressed
· Expertise with unit and e2e testing
· Expertise with REST
· Participate in code reviews
QUALIFICATIONS
· Hands-on software development using HTML5, CSS3 including SASS/LESS, JavaScript including ES6, Typescript
· Experience with modern frameworks (React) and third party/open-source libraries
· Experience with distributed version control systems (e.g, git, bitbuket, svn)
· Experience with RESTful web service integration including authentication
· Familiarity with the Agile methodology and tracking tools (e.g., Rally, Jira, Pivotal or similar)
· Working knowledge of client/server and related technology environments
· Motivated self-starter and team player
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teams
· Excellent verbal and written communications
· Ability to think ‘outside the box’ while working as a team player

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 65,000 - 150,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
