Position Title: Principal, Program Manager
Job Description:
Lead strategic projects from definition through to delivery utilizing experience in software development lifecycle and system/business analysis in the Capital markets or asset management space. Interact with business and technology stakeholders to elicit requirements, document functional specifications, and perform necessary data and workflow analysis in support of cross-functional programs. Maintain project plans and roadmaps consistent with overall team and strategic project objectives. Manage multiple stakeholder expectations and communications with a high level of awareness of varying information needs across audiences. Assist with annual budget planning cycle, tracking actual spend and progress against planned program budget and goals. Document and track status, risks, and issues across multiple tracks and projects within the investment management technology space and lean into tracking and reporting tools utilized by the team, including JIRA. Lead Project teams including guidance and assignment of various activities. Provide subject matter expertise based on Capital Markets industry knowledge and experience. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however may be able to work two (2) days a week from home.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field plus eight (8) years of experience performing business analysis or systems analysis in the trading, investment management, or financial services consulting industry.
Must have eight (8) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Software requirements gathering and system/business analysis in the Investment management industry.
- Project planning and reviewing project status, risks, and key functional deliverables for complex investment workflows.
- Solution designing by analyzing complex business needs, technology constraints, and operational scalability.
- Direct project management experience including managing project teams by providing guidance and assignment of various activities.
- Asset Management and Capital Markets industry experience providing subject matter expertise on broad Capital Markets industry requirements.
Must have six (6) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Working in an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund with derivatives technology systems including Calypso.
- Project management with experience tracking full project lifecycle and updates in tools including Jira.
- Experience with documenting and tracking project status and risks across multiple tracks and multiple projects within Derivative technology or investment management technology.
- Experience with annual budget planning cycle, tracking actual spend and progress against planned program budget and goals.
- Providing subject matter expertise on Derivatives
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: $140,000 - 180,000 /year.
