Programme Overview

Our Technology Associate Programme is designed for recent university graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to launch their careers in a supportive, hands-on environment. You will gain foundational experience in software development or data support while working closely with business partners across the firm. From day one, you’ll be mentored by experienced professionals and supported in building the skills, confidence, and network needed to thrive at Wellington.

Available Roles

1. Client Platform Technology (1 Position)

You will join the Client Platform Technology group, supporting teams across Content Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Servicing. This entry-level role is the first step toward becoming a Software Engineer, with a focus on the Salesforce.com platform.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn to build and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams in an agile environment

  • Grow your understanding of enterprise architecture, data modelling, and user experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graduating from university in 2025 (or equivalent)

  • Interest in software development and exposure to object-oriented programming (e.g. Java, C#, Python)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Eagerness to learn about investment management and how technology supports client outcomes

2. Global Data & Application Support (GDAS) (2 Positions)

The GDAS team plays a critical role in supporting Wellington’s global investment professionals. As a Graduate Data Support Analyst, you will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of investment data, solve complex problems, and contribute to the integration of AI technologies into support processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure data accuracy and timely updates for investment professionals

  • Collaborate with offshore colleagues and act as a point of escalation

  • Partner with development teams to solve complex problems and document solutions

  • Assist in integrating AI technologies into support workflows

  • Use SQL, Python, GraphQL, and prompt engineering to enhance data processes

  • Engage in proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Basic understanding of SQL, Python, prompt engineering, and generative AI technologies

  • Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality

  • Interest in financial services and a willingness to learn
