The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.

This position will focus on marketing Equity Research content across the broader Wells Fargo Platform, managing and optimizing the media exposure of the Wells Fargo Equity Research team. The role would include working with Equity Research Management and the Research Analysts to build an understanding of the research content and related securities markets in order to effectively broaden the reach of the department both internally and externally. External focus will include handling media relations and external communications for Wells Fargo’s Equity Research division, while the internal focus will include optimizing content distribution across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and other strategic internal partnerships, including Wells Fargo Advisors. This position will report into the Equity Research Product Marketing group in New York.

  • Optimize media exposure of Equity Research content and analysts to top tier media, including broadcast and print

  • Build relationships with key national and trade media and manage incoming media inquiries and requests for Equity Research

  • Understand compliance regime and execute media policies and procedures, including disclosures and record keeping

  • Maintain strong understanding of key research calls through a fundamental understanding of stocks and markets

  • Work with Equity Product Marketing to distribute summary content to strategic internal partner(s), including Wells Fargo Advisors

  • Expand internal reach of Equity Research across the Corporate & Investment Bank

  • Support ad-hoc Research Management and Research Review Committee projects

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or higher

  • Experience executing communications strategies and plans that align with business objectives

  • Experience building strong relationships with national business and trade news media

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of data tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

  • Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

  • Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Pay Range:

  • Base pay range for this position in New York is 135,000-155,000

  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Pay Range

$133,300.00 - $237,100.00
