About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Accountability Specialist to join the Technology Policy Governance Office (TPGO) within the Chief Technology Office (CTO). Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

The TGPO supports all Technology policies through the policy lifecycle including development, publication, and ongoing monitoring. You will have the opportunity to influence a critical function as we continue with ongoing technology transformation.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as a risk and policy subject matter expert to support the technology policy governance framework and associated initiatives with enterprise impact, high risk and/or with significant scope, cost, and benefits

  • Support the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant development and execution of policy uplift plans, programs and initiatives which have significant impact across multiple areas or the enterprise

  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures, policies, procedures, and working instructions.

  • Analyze information required for the development and update of policy, and procedures in relationship to industry frameworks and laws and regulations

  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, broad-reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Participate in highly complex activities and resolution

  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area

  • Manage policy governance activities including remediation tracking and escalation for all policy related risk treatments (policy exceptions, policy deviations, policy variations, and policy violations)

  • Manage large scale remediation through engagement with technology teams and develop reporting to enable appropriate governance and escalation

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence plans, specifications, resource needs, and goals for multi-faceted, highly complex, or long-term risk mitigation and control strategies on behalf of the business

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks which require understanding of business-specific knowledge related to operational risk, audit, legal, IT, systems security, business process management, and applicable business acumen

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, multi-faceted, long-term, or companywide strategies

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of technology risk management, IT general controls and/or technology audit experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing policy governance, and/or drafting policy


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements for financial services

  • Technology control and process experience

  • Technology risk and policy management experience

  • Knowledge of COBIT, FFIEC, NIST and other key industry frameworks and authoritative sources

  • Strong critical thinking skills, consistent attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines amidst competing priorities

  • Program and change management experience

  • Strong risk management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership

  • Ability to influence and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Experience working with and leading delivery teams

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
