About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Accountability Specialist to join the Governance, Risk Strategy, and Execution (GRSE) team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO). Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

Within the GRSE there is a need to support Executive Engagement with Regulatory, Policy, and Cloud Governance activities. You will have the opportunity to influence a critical function as we continue with ongoing technology transformation.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide horizontal support for various Regulatory activities including Ongoing Supervisory, Regulatory Remediation, and Regulatory Exams and Assessments

  • Engage with various executives, senior leadership teams, and technology and internal partner groups to support initiatives in alignment with CTO risk and regulatory objectives

  • Manage a large portfolio of activities that require exception delivery capabilities

  • Work to support highly critical and time sensitive engagements

  • Create executive level content, reporting, and communications with a critical eye for every detail

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence plans, specifications, resource needs, and goals for multi-faceted, highly complex, or long-term risk mitigation and control strategies on behalf of the business

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks which require understanding of business-specific knowledge related to financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT, systems security, business process management, and applicable business acumen

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, multi-faceted, long-term, or companywide strategies

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an expert advisor to leadership


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of technology risk management, IT general controls and/or technology audit experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing policy governance, and/or drafting policy

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements for financial services

  • Knowledge of COBIT, FFIEC, NIST and other key industry frameworks and authoritative sources

  • Strong critical thinking skills, consistent attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines amidst competing priorities

  • Program and change management experience

  • Strong risk management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership

  • Ability to influence and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Experience working with and leading delivery teams

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
