About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a talented Lead Marketing Consultant (Product Marketing Manager) to join the Merchant Services Product Marketing Team. This individual contributor role will create effective customer-facing marketing collateral to attract, engage, and retain merchant customers. Reporting to the Merchant Services Product Marketing leader, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in authoring and continually refining positioning and messaging in the financial services and/or payments industry, preferably B2B (small business, corporate/commercial, or both). In collaboration with senior Product, Sales Enablement, Legal and Compliance, and other Marketing colleagues, this role will create and refine compelling and compliant content in alignment with our customer value propositions, and brief creative agencies, as necessary, to develop and deliver marketing materials for distribution across multiple channels.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver effective positioning and messaging and marketing collateral for both the Merchant Services Small Business and Commercial/Corporate Banking customer segments
  • Manage the end-to-end process to create and deploy compelling customer-facing product marketing materials, including directly authoring content and working with vendors when appropriate
  • Lead work across functional teams to achieve marketing deliverables
  • Understand the competitive landscape and translate insights into strategic direction
  • Ensure adherence to legal, compliance, and privacy regulations and policies related to marketing

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or social media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep experience in writing, designing, delivering, and continually refining product positioning and messaging in alignment with customer value propositions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive business relationships, mobilize resources and cross-functional teams, and influence peers, partners, and senior leaders to gain buy-in for new ideas or initiatives
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including well-honed presentation skills and the ability to craft clearly written and effectively positioned content that makes complex technical subjects easy to comprehend
  • Impeccable attention to detail with extensive experience in formatting, reviewing, and proofreading materials for content accuracy, effectiveness, regulatory requirements, alignment with overall messaging strategies, and adherence to brand standards
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and a proven ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments; takes personal responsibility for producing deliverables under tight deadlines; works well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Keen eye for design and experience managing the creative development process – including defining and refining project scope, developing and delivering creative briefs, and synthesizing and providing creative feedback
  • Problem solver with demonstrated experience in analyzing complex issues, conducting competitive analyses, leveraging market research data, proactively researching solutions, suggesting process improvements, and refining messaging
  • Strong risk mindset with proven ability to develop compelling marketing messages and deliverables while complying with complex regulatory requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Experience in the payments industry and in marketing to business segments

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Pay Range:

Concord & San Francisco CA: $115,900 - $206,100 Annually.

New York NY: $115,900 - $206,100 Annually.
