About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist to join our FX Client Service's team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Operations.

The FX Client service team member will work closely with sales to support Wells Fargo’s FX clients. The individual is expected to perform a variety of operational/post trade functions such as trade confirmation, settlement, and manage incoming client & trading desk inquiries related to trade discrepancies, settlement issues and settlement instructions.


In this role, you will:

  • Monitor, input, and process cash related transactions, customer service, project support, funding operations, settlement services, trade reconciliation, researching inquiries as well as work to resolve payment or trade related issue
  • Review SWIFT messages ensuring all required information such as settlement instructions are provided by remitter.
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, or Business
  • 2+ years of Foreign Exchange Operations experience with either Confirmations or settlement (gross, net, CLS, On-Us, split settlements)
  • 2+ years of experience with Nostro reconciliations
  • 2+ years of experience with SWIFT messages
  • 2+ years of experience with Standing settlement instruction (SSI)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook),
  • 2+ years of experience with different FX Systems such as Hogan, OPICS, OMGEO Alert, PEGA, FXALL, GTSS, MISYS, Bloomberg CMS
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to interact professionally with customers, business partners, peers and upper management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and fluid environment.
