About this role:

This position is within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Control organization and will be responsible for Front-line Control coverage activities for CIB’s Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) division, who provides customer service to Corporate and Commercial Real Estate clients. The position will support risk identification, risk assessments, and ongoing examination of controls associated with commercial/corporate account opening, deposit-taking, and treasury management services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing individual risk management leadership and expertise on applicable bank policies and related risk and control process requirements. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, data analysis, risk reporting, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Act as the key point of contact for Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) business processes, risks, and internal control program related to account opening and maintenance, deposit-taking, treasury management products, and financial crimes program requirements.

  • Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Contribute to RCSA assessments through detailed risk and control evaluations, and collection of metrics and supporting observations. Partner with Compliance, Operational Risk, and Reginal Control teams to ensure major compliance requirements and controls are aligned and developed to mitigate risks. Liaise with Control owners to recommend and update existing controls to improve the overall effectiveness and record in the system of record, as applicable.

  • Issue Management: Serve as a point of contact for CLM to document and root cause analysis assessments for control weaknesses and operational risk incidents. Consult with business control owners to develop corrective action plans and control redesign. Oversee resolution of corrective actions designed to address control deficiencies and collection of applicable artifacts.

  • Continuously engage LOB partners on strategy, industry trends, organizational changes, and new/modified systems/products/services in order to identify and remediate risk and control issues.

  • Control Development/Maintenance: Document controls in accordance to policy standards, perform adhoc control evaluations, oversee control implementation and conduct control monitoring.

  • Develop risk management reporting to connect disparate data sources for program monitoring to ensure program effectiveness

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Commercial/Corporate Banking customer service responsibilities

  • 3+ years of Data Analytics and Reporting experience (Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills).

  • Process and control risk assessment

  • Knowledge of customer onboarding and account maintenance process and controls

  • Experience with Treasury Management product offerings

  • Knowledge of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) standards

  • Experience with Issue Management, root cause analysis, and corrective action development

  • Highly organized, highly professional, adaptable and proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a fast paced and complex environment.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10%, if needed

  • This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship

  • Hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
