About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to be part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, covers jobs which lead the design and management of a highly targeted independent credit review (oversight) capability to assess the quality of lending and ongoing management of credit risk within the Bank, including adherence to risk appetite, credit policy and regulation.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Enterprise Credit Risk.
  • Create and maintain analytics dashboards focused on credit risk for use across the company by a variety of audiences including senior executives.
  • Identify and resolve process gaps by incorporating root cause analysis, control design assessment, and strategic thinking.
  • Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks.
  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and documentation in alignment with policy governance.
  • Lead self and influence team to meet Credit Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting, policies, strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to build consensus, challenge partners when necessary, and drive for timely completion of requirements.
  • Manage time sensitive, critical enterprise or credit risk initiatives in an organized and independent manner.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on moderately complex analytical projects with diverse teams and developing data driven and outcome-based initiatives to improve business decision making and operational efficiencies.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization and analytics development.
  • Proficiency reading and writing SQL.
  • Proficiency developing visually appealing, accurate dashboards in Power BI using a variety of data sources (especially Teradata, SQL Server, and MS Excel).
  • Proficiency administering a Power BI environment (development, UAT, production), enforcing row-level security, and implementing advanced PowerBI features using the SVG template.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite product skills to include (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word, etc…).
  • Experience with credit risk strategy development and monitoring in financial service industry.
  • Ability to work independently and execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans.
  • Ability to communicate issues, risks, and proposed solutions effectively and succinctly, in both written and verbal formats, with senior leaders.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
