About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Financial Crimes & Regulatory Operations (FCRO) is seeking a Senior Lead Execution Consultant to support the Screening & Monitoring Operations (SMO) organization. The Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant will report directly to the Head of SMO leading programs designed to ensure operational efficiencies and effectiveness, including, but not limited to strategic planning and execution, control performance management, and process design and improvements.


In this role, you will:

  • Function as a change champion, serving as a liaison with Change Management for initiatives sponsored by the Head of SMO to ensure success criteria is met and direction is provided in the absence of the sponsor.

  • Assist the SMO with tracking all audit and testing engagements as the Client Screening controls are shared with dozens of RAUs across the bank and require SMO involvement during their engagements.

  • Serve as a liaison with Issue Management to assist with issue tracking specifically for SMO, escalate concerns with dates are in jeopardy, and assist with Correction Action design and feasibility.

  • Participate in process design and improvement, leveraging the DMAIC methodology or components of the methodology to assist in driving a continuous improvement culture.

  • Partner with Senior Managers with SMO to track and report on performance metrics using a RAG status to ensure breaches are escalated quickly.

  • Serve as an advisor to the Head of SMO, as well as to the Senior Managers, by providing insights, potential solutions, and credible challenges.

  • Establish the position as a subject matter expert capable of participating in meetings, answering and asking questions, and providing direction based on overarching guidance/strategies provided by the Head of SMO.

  • Oversee the execution of SMO’s Learning & Development strategies with a focus on developing a fungible workforce, acquiring industry knowledge, learning the details of BSA/AML policies, and leveraging technology to create learning/training efficiencies.

  • Liaison with the Operations Strategy Team, and well as FCRO Transformation, to assist in ensuring SMO’s strategic directions are met.

  • Partner with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and each of the peer organizations within FCO on behalf of SMO, as well as function as a point of contract.

  • Be a gap filler, proactively inserting this position into spaces where there are needs that may jeopardize continuity, success, and the historically high performance of each of the functional groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML programs, including Client Screening (Negative News, PEP, Sanctions, etc.), CDD, KYC, CIP, transaction monitoring, and enhanced due diligence

  • Ability to interact with executive leadership

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong experience drafting business proposals with visuals that tell the story

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated change leadership skills with the ability to influence outcomes

  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable and actionable information

  • Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in the desired outcomes

  • Ability to credibly challenge the status quo

  • Ability the operate effectively in both an ambiguous and structured environment

  • Great partnership skills at all levels and across the enterprise

  • A proven proactive approach to delivering on commitments

  • Knowledge of the audit and issue management process

  • Basic knowledge of risks and controls


Job Expectations:

  • Work the hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.

Position is not VISA eligible.
