Department Overview

Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,500 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. We serve and help individuals and families in many aspects of their lives, helping them buy homes, open first bank and savings accounts, buy cars to get to and from work or school, and start or grow small businesses. About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Consultant who will be part of Consumer Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (CDAI), The Senior Data Management analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Data Leader to plan and deliver the Analytics features and functions to meet prioritized enterprise objectives. The Senior Data Management analyst will work with stakeholders from across multiple Wells Fargo lines of businesses and functions to manage the analytics roadmap and align it to business needs. The candidate will conduct value-based intake and prioritization across requests, bring subject matter expertise on current and emerging customer domain and technology trends to offer strategic solutions to plan and deliver Analytical capabilities that drive business value.

Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and execution of advanced analytic reporting solutions, primarily utilizing Tableau, Power BI, and SQL. The candidate will develop expertise in navigating the extensive production and analytical data environments within Wells Fargo and apply that expertise to provide value-added data analysis solutions and automation to the various CDAI teams. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to utilize data analysis methodologies and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting and analytics process. This position will work closely with internal and external partners to develop and support analytical solutions, identify insights and key trends, and act as an internal liaison for key business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • JIRA Administrator for supporting the prioritization of the Data Governance reporting requirements and managing resource assignments across US and India team
  • Lead data analysis of new data sources to identify data gaps and ability to meet reporting requirements.
  • Serve as records coordinator and SharePoint site owner to eliminate BDL key person dependencies.
  • Build and execute Data Quality control procedures to manage risk of inadequate data quality on Subdomain dashboards and CDDC materials.
  • Ability to create and maintain User and Technical documentation.
  • Data Governance sandbox owner, admin and compliance with EDSG policy
  • Data modeling and data structure design
  • SQL scripts and Python coding for data source ingestion to reporting platform
  • PowerBI report development

Essential Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Data Management, Financial industry experience, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Practical experience with JIRA
  • Hands on experience of working with Power BI and SQL
  • Experience in data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and writing Python scripts for integration and analysis.
  • Experience of at least One year in Data Governance or Risk Management related work and overall, 2 years’ experience in any banking domain
  • Flexible with working in US operational hours i.e. night shifts.
  • Strong analytical skills with eye for details

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of US bank regulations/compliance, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience in Dashboarding tool - Power BI
  • Experience in working with remote teams.
  • Experience in facilitating and hosting conference calls.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Visio, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint
  • Quality-Oriented and Demonstrates a high-level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Can adapt to a changing environment and circumstances.
