    Department Overview

    Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. The Markets vertical is an integral part of CIB. The Model Development and Maintenance (MDM) team is an extension of the US Front Office team, and works with the global quants team to develop and monitor models. The team works in various asset classes like Interest Rate, Credit, Equity, Commodity, FX and XVA on models that are used for pricing, risk management and stress testing. This role is within the MDM data team.

    About the Role

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analytics Specialist who is responsible for performing the below activities

    Duties

  • Understand the market data structure and processing in Vasara/MDSoR
  • Write python scripts to analyze/transform/plot market data
  • Create java scripts to access market data from vasara data fabric
  • Compose documentation on technical implementation and business processes
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with financial market data or time series data
  • 5 years of programming experience in python/ java to extract, manipulate and analyze large amount of data
  • Strong knowledge in python; working knowledge in Java
  • Working knowledge in data architecture, data models and ETL processes
  • Basic statistical and analytical skills to analyze and interpret market data
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Prior experience in financial industry preferred; advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
  • Essential qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master's degree or higher in computer science or finance/mathematics
  • Hands-on coding experience, Python/ Java is most relevant
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively within a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment with multiple responsibilities but still following strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
