About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant as part of the Incident & Governance Support team within Wealth Investment Management Operations. This team aligns with the Risk and Regulatory group and serves as a governance function for enterprise risk programs within WIM Operations. The team consults with other departments in WIM Operations to help management proactively identify and address risks that arise from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events.

The Senior Consultant will assist departments in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls to appropriately mitigate identified risks, while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency. This role includes a horizontal view across all teams within WIM Operations, with a focus on process improvement and strategic risk reduction. Core governance programs for this role include Incident Capture and Review, Key Risk Indicators, Operational Risk Events, and Leadership Risk Reporting. In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that include risk mitigation and efficiency

  • Support cross functional groups to ensure comprehensive understanding of WIM Operations business process, control environment, tool/systems supporting process, and formal policies/procedures

  • Review and offer credible challenge for risk activities and programs

  • Independently analyze data and translate moderately complex concepts into simplified solutions

  • Monitor changes in our control environment, evaluate control design, and revise review plans to ensure we have appropriate coverage and alignment with corporate policy

  • Recognize when emerging risks require mitigation and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the effective design and buildout

  • Partner with other risk support groups, program functional teams and business groups as appropriate

  • Collaborate with, consult, and inform leaders and executive management

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Wealth and Investment Management experience

  • 4+ years of Operational Risk, Change Management and/or Quality Assurance experience

  • Cross functional understanding of risk, policy management and controls (e.g. operations, market, client)

  • Demonstrated experience working with internal and external auditors including audit plan management

  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations

  • Strong ability to effectively multi-task, effectively manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing and competing priorities

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate successfully in a matrixed environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
