About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to run Platform Availability Management in EMEA/APAC while also running Problem Management globally for the Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) division. This senior leader will be responsible for the delivery of a multi-year strategy enabling ITSM excellence across the CCIBT services. This role includes leadership of a globally diverse team with a mandate to identify and deliver sustainable programs which span the Incident and Problem Lifecycle and all aspects of IT Service Management. This role is critical in achieving our reliability goals and KPI's and transforming our culture, skillsets and practices. The leader in this space will provide direction and thought leadership within CCIBT, and also influence more broadly across Wells Fargo to develop and share best practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee PAM operations across EMEA and APAC, ensuring the alignment of IT services with business objectives.

  • Develop and implement ITSM strategies that enhance service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in IT service delivery.

  • Lead the global Problem Management function to identify, analyze, and resolve IT problems, minimizing impact on business operations.

  • Establish and maintain global standards, policies, and procedures for Problem Management.

  • Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to proactively address recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders in EMEA and APAC, ensuring their IT service needs are met.

  • Work closely with other IT leaders to integrate ITSM and Problem Management practices into broader IT and business strategies.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to executive management on ITSM performance and Problem Management outcomes.

  • Drive the adoption of ITIL best practices across the regions to enhance ITSM processes.

  • Continuously assess and improve ITSM and Problem Management workflows, leveraging automation and advanced analytics where possible.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of ITSM professionals across EMEA and APAC, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Identify skill gaps and provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities.

  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Required Qualifications:

    • Significant experience in IT Service Management, to include proven success in a senior leadership role managing regional or global ITSM operations.
    • Proven track record in leading global Problem Management functions, including experience in root cause analysis, problem resolution, and continuous improvement.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing diverse, high-performing teams across multiple regions.
    • Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a strong focus on driving results, continuous improvement, and innovation in IT service delivery.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior business stakeholders and collaborate with global IT teams.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in financial services which includes Commercial, Corporate or Investment Banking
    • Knowledge of common business tools, networks and practices
    • Experience of common IT operations tools, including for ITIL process management, Observability, Automation, Orchestration and Business Process Automation
