We're currently seeking a seasoned Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to provide advanced support for our Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization. In this role, you'll have the chance to lead complex initiatives and contribute to the strategic planning/ execution/ governance of our Platform Delivery initiatives including Data Center Migrations, Cloud Migration Platform Readiness, Vulnerability Management, Life Cycle Management (LCM), Tech Hygiene, Lower Environment support, and configuration management. Platform Delivery aligns to transformation programs to ensure the delivery of those programs are inclusive of Platform support requirements and are consistent with Platform production expectations.

As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your expertise to review and analyze complex technical challenges, making decisions on enhancements and improvements to existing systems. Your role will involve collaborating with engineering/platform/risk teams on solving complex problem and consulting with technical peers and managers to resolve project/environment issues and initiatives forward. With your solid understanding of technical process controls and standards, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our technology landscape. To be successful, you will need to be a focused, self-motivated technologist who prioritizes stability of the application and infrastructure above all else.

The Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) group supports the Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses including Capital Markets, Commercial Lending & Credit Finance, Securities Finance, Coverage & Collateral, Payments & Treasury Management, and Wholesale Operations. CCIBT provides strategic, enterprise-wide technology capabilities and enabling services to our lines of business and management of the applications in terms of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and cost. In this role, you will

  • Focus on one or more of the following areas: Data Center Migrations, Cloud Migration Platform Readiness, Vulnerability Management, Life Cycle Management (LCM), Tech Hygiene, Lower Environment support, Configuration management
  • Provide program governance structure, overseeing planning and execution routines, and driving resolution of critical blockers.
  • Lead complex initiatives and provide or find solutions to problems/issues
  • Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure / application / platform and reduce operational risk
  • Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
  • Review and analyze remediation and project related activities to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
  • Help to identify and resolve project risks and resource requirements. Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with customer and vendors, where and when appropriate
  • Represent the CCIBT Platform Delivery team in executive status review forums, driving accountability across the program workstreams.
  • Drive the development and implementation of executive level execution plans for the Digital Infrastructure Strategy Program (DISP), including Datacenter build and exits, Cloud Enablement, and Migrations.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring expert understanding of DISP approach, CCIBT and Infrastructure functional areas and/or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution through timely and accurate status gathering, reporting, escalations, and meeting forum facilitation
  • Proactively groom stakeholder’s status, issues, risks – manage a golden copy for consistent representation of status across multiple executive forums
  • Proactively track action items, exercise senior level influence and persuasion behaviors in working with the principals/accountable executives for their follow-ups and presentations

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Systems engineering or technology experience
  • Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience,
  • Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
  • Experience leading significant change in a large, complex technology organization of over 10k+ employees
  • Cloud migrations and/or datacenter moves experience
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies, datacenter / cloud migration-related activities
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in a large matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to solve highly complex business problems / blockers across a matrixed organization
  • Experience with large-scale projects, with an ability to operate at both the detailed level and summary level
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically, and to develop effective long-term solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong technical and business writing skills, plus the ability to effectively explain plans and solutions verbally to both technology and business units.
  • Highly organized, self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and complex environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and executing governance programs of large-scale change initiatives
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Office suite, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Cloud computing technology experience
  • Cloud Certifications of Microsoft AZ-900 or Google Cloud Practitioner (GCP)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge and understanding of critical site controls, risk management, disciplined data center environments, high availability requirements, and security systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of data center critical facilities systems (e.g. electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems), networking (firewall, routing, B2B connectivity), storage, database, linux/windows OS-based systems
  • An understanding of the regulatory, and professional standards for financial services technology.
