Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead computer security incident response activities for highly complex events
  • Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
  • Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Review and correlate security logs
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead a team to achieve objectives


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 12+ years hands-on experience working in Application Security, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 5+ years of Agile delivery and integration to CI/CD implementation experience
  • 3+ year of experience with T-SQL will be an added advantage .
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in engineering or computer Science or Information Systems
  • Hands on experience using Application Security Tools Thread Fix, ServiceNow AVR and any experience in Application Vulnerability Management is a huge plus.
  • Software Project Management experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Proven research and analytical skills with the ability to independently work through complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames.
  • Advanced experience with scrum-based delivery and adaptability to sprint timelines
  • Creating reports and presentations to produce reports to leadership.
  • Advanced experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Experience preparing reporting, metrics, and presentation materials for various levels of leadership.
  • Proven research and analytical skills with the ability to independently work through complex and ambiguous situations
  • Partner with stakeholders responsible to document, improve and strengthen processes that support the Services including ensuring adherence to data quality and control standards
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable with making and presenting recommendations to a wide audience of stakeholders

Job Expectations:

  • Translate business requirements into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Lead the enhancements and support for application security product ServiceNow .
  • Mentor and guide junior team members for solutions.
  • Support & troubleshoot Enterprise CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous deployment and issue with Service Now integration.
  • Writing security test cases to check for vulnerabilities or broken/missing security controls.
  • Facilitate and host discussions to troubleshoot issues that needs technical expertise and guidance for quick resolution.
  • Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international business.
  • Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies, and procedures
  • The ideal candidate for this position will possess exceptional people management, analytical, technical, problem-solving and execution skills - with strong business acumen, collaborative leadership abilities, risk and control self-assessment process proficiency and a focus on follow-through activities to deliver business priorities/objectives.
