Portfolio Relationship Manager (Channel Finance) - Japanese Speaking

Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Relationship Manager (Credit Product Specialist) in our Channel Finance group as part of Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.
Please note this position is in Singapore. While the required work visa/permit will be provided, there won’t be any relocation assistance.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in building and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients of Wells Fargo Channel Finance in APAC region
- Partner with coverage teams within the context of individual deals and client relationships to understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify and execute on opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings
- Independently review and analyze moderately complex client portfolios or partner with peers, SMEs or Sr. peers on more complex portfolios for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral and enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources, including for use in periodic reviews as well as interim underwriting memoranda
- Perform monthly portfolio reviews to track clients’ financial performance, facility utilizations, and lead problem loan resolutions, where applicable
- Review and analyze customer’s credit facility limit change requests and manage the end-to-end interim credit facility limit change approval process including but not limited to preparing and raising short form temporary credit facility limit change request, obtaining proper credit approval, updating the relevant systems of record, and negotiating/executing required legal documents
- Collaborate and consult with peers and functional partners to resolve client servicing requests and inquiries related to their product
- Independently resolve moderately complex situations while developing a sound understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet business objectives and partner with senior peers for more complex issues
- Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product and/or specialty’s business objectives
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of trade credit or specialized lending relationship management or credit portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Native Japanese skill required (additional language as Chinese would be plus)
Desired Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Business Admin. Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines
- Channel Finance/Trade Finance/Supply Chain Finance/Factoring knowledge
- Commercial or corporate banking relationship management experience
- Commercial credit training in any major banks highly preferred
- Financial Statement Analysis training and experience
- Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
