About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Associate (WIM Risk Services). This position is in the Chief Administrative Office of the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) business.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in planning and executing a variety of programs, services, and initiatives, and monitor key indicators to ensure effective performance and control management of assigned operations or business groups
  • Review basic initiatives including policy or process changes, process improvements, technology enhancements, and conduct regular reviews to identify efficiencies and cost savings opportunities
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of policies and procedures, best practices, and initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with mid-level managers or cross-functional business partners
  • Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Risk/Control, Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning
  • Experience in risk, control, and/or audit in a large financial institution.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to execute on multiple competing priorities within prescribed timelines.
  • Direct experience executing controls and/or testing controls.
  • Expert communicator (verbal/written) with ability to collaborate with business partners at all levels of an organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • Experience with reporting, research, and associated root cause analysis; Ability to aggregate data to identify trends and effectively report findings to leadership.
  • Results-oriented and resourceful team member; ability to proactively resolve issues.
  • Acts with courage, ethics and integrity, and provides appropriate credible challenge.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, evolve and solve complex problems in a logical and useable manner.

The Risk Services Associate is responsible for supporting the following risk programs:

  • Operational Risk Events (ORE)
  • New Business Initiatives (NBI)
  • External Loss Events (ELE)
  • Fiduciary & Investment Risk
  • Business Level Scenario Analysis (BLSA)
  • Volcker Rule
  • Front Line Compliance, Transaction Processing & Execution (TP&E), and Financial/Tax Reporting
  • Technology, Information Security, & Insider Threat
  • Information Management
  • Privacy
  • Accessibility
  • Regulatory Change Management
  • Execute process support and control activities including governance/monitoring, data quality reviews, quality monitoring, and record retention activities.
  • Develop close partnerships with the aligned risk program leaders to identify, implement, and mitigate risk.
  • Exercise independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables and provide guidance / coaching in diverse support functions and operations.
  • Interact with leaders to address business needs related to the associated risk program activities and consult with business leaders and peers on associated findings.
  • Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through hands-on execution.
  • Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business.
  • Establish an effective Management review process including routine reporting.
