Role and Department Overview
Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.


Wells Fargo’s Structured Products Group (“SPG”), part of the Markets division in CIB, provides direct structured lending in addition to the underwriting and distribution of asset-backed securities for clients who access the bond markets through securitizations. The India SPG team works as an extension of the global SPG team across a broad range of asset classes and covering large domestic and international clients including Corporates, NBFCs, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Mortgage and Real Estate finance and investment funds.


The Business Execution role supports SPG’s COO and Portfolio Management teams, and involves initiatives ranging from data management, credit administration, change management, control/risk management, reporting at senior management / regulator level to driving transformation/efficiency projects across SPG. The successful candidate will work closely with SPG’s global team members located in Bangalore and the U.S. The role involves significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Core team deliverables include support on surveillance, credit analysis and portfolio management across SPG’s portfolio. Key deliverables include performance analysis, data management and reporting, business analysis, risk and exposure analysis, regulatory reporting including Basel, and drafting of memos and presentations.
  • Drive automation and efficiency via Power BI visualization tools. This includes new Power BI dashboards as well as sustaining existing Power BI dashboards by verifying data integrity, responding to queries from constituents, working with Technology partners to resolve issues, breaks, etc.
  • Take initiative to reduce manual work by implementing macros, VBA or process streamlining solutions
  • Automation and visualization comes from making high quality data available. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining data from multiple sources in order to make it usable through the most logical output.
  • Implement medium and long-term projects, e.g., implementation of new initiatives, technology by preparing training and procedure documents, communication emails, liaise with partner groups within the bank, etc.
  • Responsible for completion of routine deliverables, e.g., preparing periodic reports, verifying, and attesting the data sent to the stakeholders, management dashboards, etc.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc decks

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical to success in this role
  • High attention to detail
  • At least an MBA or an equivalent qualification. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CA (Chartered Accountant) would be a plus
  • Around 3 - 5 years of work experience in business execution role, project management, or related COO/portfolio management function
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Experience with data visualization, creating dashboards and proficiency in Power BI.
  • Experience in banking/captive environment with knowledge of asset-backed finance/securitization and credit administration
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and pro-actively with minimal supervision/follow-up
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and highly-regulated production environment and juggle a variety of tasks (time management skills are important)
  • Must be flexible to work in partial US shift as per business requirements
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, attention-to-detail, and critical thinking skills
