About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist for their Corporate and Investment Banking Operations group within Wholesale Operations.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in lifecycle support for institutional trade flow
- Manage client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables
- Contribute to large scale planning related to process, procedures and efficiencies with internal and industry related initiatives
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Provide leadership to bring groups together to resolve multi-faceted complex issues
- Serve as a leader on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
- Review and analyze complex functional and operational tasks that require in-depth evaluation
- Exercise independent judgment and resolution to guide the deliverable
- Resolve moderately complex issues
- Lead team to meet functional area projects, and process deliverables
- Leverage solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Mentor and assist analysts
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years experience processing Corporate Action & Income events utilizing a vendor platform customized for the needs of an institutional custody / prime brokerage provider
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working within the Agile Methodology: Key aspects of project management that emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and customer feedback, in addition to adaptive planning, development and delivery
- Understanding of vendor applications specific to supporting Asset Servicing front to back event management
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
- Experience working with custodians, depositories, agents and brokers to ensure timely and accurate processing of events to client accounts and to appropriately manage risk
- In-depth understanding of complex corporate action events and the functional application and work lifecycle of our processing platforms
- Requirement gathering form different Lines of business to integrate Asset Servicing Platform
- Root cause analysis on exceptions process to automate process for better client service
- Deployment and Regression testing on process enhancements
- Developing and publishing critical metrics and data validations for Lines of Businesses
- Integrating propriety applications with vendors systems for data procurement to build a cohesive platform to automate the process for better client experience
- Training team members on process and application changes
- Partnering with all business segments to define booking models and applicability to functional process
- Lead technology renovation and enhancements for ongoing infrastructure support
- Document requirements and coordinate with Product Tech and external vendors on deploying technical changes that support corporate actions processing across multiple client segments
- Creation and development of BRD’s for the functional application and work lifecycle of our processing platforms which allow for in depth processing of complex corporate action events
- Working and liaise with the front office directly to gather and support the different booking models to integrate to Asset Servicing platform.
- Provide Root cause analysis training to the onshore team on how to exceptions process
- Process exceptions to help automate the Asset Servicing platform for better client service and STP rates
- Working with tech and product development team to enhance the system to meet Line on business expectations and better STP rate
