About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager - VP in Frankfurt.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for understanding the broad range of complex financial issues facing their clients and providing solutions to these issues utilising the full suite of Wells Fargo CIB's products and services
Corporate bankers through their deep knowledge of their clients also play a central role in managing risk
The role is to work with Senior Bankers to originate new business, execute transactions and lead coverage of a multi-sector portfolio of Continental European large-cap corporate clients
Represent the bank in developing, growing, and maintaining relationships with critical and complex corporate clients
Help source new business opportunities across Corporate & Investment Banking products in collaboration with product partners to drive profitable risk-adjusted revenue growth across the portfolio
Lead the preparation of marketing material and take an active role during client presentations
Oversee the preparation of capital memos and manage internal approval processes
Manage the transaction execution and client onboarding process, as well as coordinate junior team member deliverables
Maintain detailed knowledge of individual clients’ businesses and the industries in which they operate
Build a strong rapport with key stakeholders and decision-makers, as well as maintain client account plans
Develop a thorough understanding of credit, regulatory and compliance considerations/requirements and ensure a pristine risk and control environment
Collaborate and consult with peers and senior leaders to resolve issues and achieve goals
Serve as a mentor to peers & junior team members
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in CIB Relationship Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Proven track record of transaction origination and execution
Corporate finance experience and credit skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a strong sense of personal accountability
Must demonstrate high level of personal motivation & integrity
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Fluency in English and German. Additional European language is a plus
Job Expectations:
This role is designated as a Controlled Function 4 (CF-4) role under Part 3 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (sections 20 and 22) and as such is subject to certain regulatory requirements.
Individuals who perform a CF role must have a level of fitness and probity appropriate to the performance of that particular function and must comply with WFBI’s Fitness and Probity policy. WFBI are required to carry out prescribed due diligence to assess your fitness and probity, and to satisfy itself on reasonable grounds that you comply with the standards of fitness and probity prescribed by the Central Bank of Ireland pursuant to any code issued under section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act.
As a role carrying a CF-4 designation, the role holder will also be subject to the Common Conduct Standards under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Individual Accountability Framework and will be required to take reasonable steps to ensure the Conduct Standards are met.
The role holder will be required to possess and maintain the appropriate technical knowledge required to perform the role and to understand the regulatory obligations to which they are subject as a CF-4, to include, without limitation, the Conduct Standards and the Fitness and Probity Standards.
An individual who performs a CF-4 role arranges financial services for WFBI customers.
