Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Job Expectations:
- Work independently with application teams and business partners, utilizing production data to a performance tool used to review production metrics and common use cases to develop a performance workload model. Then use that workload model to create a performance test scenario for test execution.
- Gather performance requirements from application teams and stakeholders. Those requirements are then documented in a Test Plan and presented as a test artifact, but also used as the foundation to accomplish performance testing.
- In a performance testing tool script performance test cases from approved performance requirements. Then create a performance scenario from the applications workload module to be used in test execution.
- Ensure all test data, consumable parameter data and non-consumable data, is gathered and seated in performance test scripts. This includes independently pulling data and/or creating the data as needed, but also includes working with the database administrators for access and support.
- Executing performance tests independently to drive out performance defects.
- Analyzes the memory/thread dumps and identify the performance vitals like memory, CPU usage, crashes etc.
- Engineer is capable of identifying a performance defects by analyzing test tool data, monitoring data, and user experience data. Once a performance defect is found the engineer has the skill to document and explain the defects characteristics to application team and stakeholders.
- Capable of training new team members on team processes, performance engineering methodologies used within the team, and specific application functionality. This includes having knowledge transfer sessions with peers to take over assignments or transition assignments.
- Skill to automate performance test execution using Jenkins in an effort to apply performance quality gates to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Engineer is capable of setting up performance engineering taskforce for an integrated application landscape
- Capable to identifying the best approach for transformations like Agile and Cloud migrations. Engineer has the skill to do a POC and able to guide the team members in achieving the goal
- Manage and actively participate in the test defect resolution process; Provide defect descriptions, root cause, scope, risks and impact of a problem and facilitating defect reviews. Provide feedback to technology teams and business partners on design improvements
- Ensures all the templates are used as per the teams’ standard and make sure all the application artifacts are stored in common location accessible to other team members
- Work in conjunction with agile development teams while working within our own Kanban team. This includes tracking all work in progress in a team Kanban board and report progress during team meetings.
- Provide appropriate forecast updates to ensure all billable hours are tracked and reported.
- Responsible for communicating project status, resolving project issues, and ensuring effective process improvement feedback
