About this role:
We are seeking an Analyst with prior investment banking experience to join the team in our Los Angeles office. The Investment Banking team in the LA Office team includes both the Financial Sponsors Group and Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging (REGAL). The Analyst would have the opportunity to work across both groups to deliver high quality advice and solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of corporate and investment banking products (including M&A, capital markets, LBOs, etc.), a strong work ethic, ability to research and generate unique content for clients, and creative, team-oriented approach to solving problems.
The Analyst will have the opportunity to work with both private equity clients and REGAL corporate clients as they evaluate and execute new equity and debt investments, monetize existing investments, and contemplate capital structure solutions at both the portfolio company and fund level. This work will allow the candidate to cover a wide range of complex transactions including leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, recapitalizations, strategic advisory assignments, and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
In this role, you will:
- Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients
- Create detailed financial models, including LBO models and other financial and valuation analysis
- Participate in and help drive all aspects of deal coordination, including conducting due diligence efforts, drafting and reviewing marketing materials and liaising with potential buyers, other advisors and team members
- Assist the senior banker and deal teams to analyze financial statements, conduct due diligence, build complex financial models, complete industry and comp analysis, and distill large amounts of information into concise memos that address key credit risks
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Wells Fargo’s credit risk policies, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines

Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Investment Banking experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
- Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team
- An individual who demonstrates a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Base salary:
1st year: $110,000, this role offers a discretionary bonus
Location: LA – Century City

- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
