About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Market Risk Officer for the Trade Product Stress Team (TPST) within Market & Counterparty Risk Management. TPST leads the regulatory & BAU stress testing initiatives and works across lines of businesses to develop leading risk management and risk measurement practices, regulatory reporting, leads CCAR initiatives, risk identification, scenario design, execution, strategic infrastructure development.
This position will be the team lead for the FR Y-14Q Schedule L execution team. The candidate will be responsible for execution of quarterly regulatory counterparty reporting and related annual CCAR deliverables. The role will require maintaining of project plans, coordinating execution across key stakeholders, and provide documentation support for regulatory deliverables. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of counterparty risk metrics, regulatory CCAR/FR Y-14Q deliverables, proven ability to work across business specialists and technology, strong technical skills, and high-level attention to detail.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant business, regulatory and risk requirements pertaining to FR Y-14Q as well as maintaining an awareness of current regulatory trends, proposals and resulting impacts.
- Populate and submit the FR Y-14Q counterparty schedule.
- Analyze the FR Y-14Q report including trends, variance analysis and exposure attribution.
- Prepare presentations related to FR Y-14Q data submission, reporting processes and control artifacts, and present to regulators, internal audit, and senior management.
- Document data, process and methodology requirements related to the FRY-14Q submission.
- Ensure the FR Y-14Q production process adheres to Governance and Oversight requirements.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Regulatory Reporting team to ensure all FR Y-14Q reporting requirements are met.
- Partner with Technology group on technical issues and assist in the development of strategic reporting solution.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- SQL experience
- A master’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation
- Financial Risk Management Certificate (FRM)
- Work experience in Middle-Office or Product Control type function
- Familiarity with non-cleared, exchange traded and cleared products
- Knowledge and experience with CVA calculations
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of a variety of asset classes and trading products; specifically, derivatives and securities financing transactions
- Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management, business partners and project managers
- Knowledge and understanding of compiling and preparing executive summaries, whitepaper, and presentations for management/senior leaders
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Personal characteristics: comfortable multi-tasking, sound judgment, takes initiative, team player and attention to detail
